The Center for Cosmology and Computational Astrophysics (C3A) of the Institute of Advanced Physics at Zhejiang University welcomes doctoral applications in the field of astronomy. Applicants with professional knowledge in galaxy formation simulation, supermassive black hole feedback processes, large-scale structures, intergalactic media, perigalactic media, interstellar media, star formation, re ionization ages, and other related computational and theoretical astrophysics fields will be given priority consideration. The current research activities of C3A include fluid dynamics and N-body simulations of galaxy formation, feedback processes of galaxy formation, formation of globular clusters, physics of accretion disks, and dark matter. It is expected that research on C3A will significantly expand at various levels in the next five years, and we have a large amount of computing resources available. We encourage successful applicants to have significant independence when conducting research. The applicant should have recently completed a doctoral degree in astronomy, astrophysics, or some related computational science fields.
There are currently vacancies for postdoctoral positions in our center. Those who meet the requirements can apply until they are fully recruited. PhDs with relevant backgrounds in the field of scientific computing will be given priority admission. The postdoctoral period is three years, and outstanding postdoctoral fellows can be awarded long-term scholarships. Our center provides internationally competitive salaries and generous support for research activities and subsidized housing.
Application Notes::The application materials (resume, research results, and future research plan) should be merged into one PDF file and sent via email, with the theme of "Postdoctoral Application+(Applicant Name)",renyuecen@zju.edu.cn Send to Professor Cen Renyue. Three recommendation letters with the theme of "(Applicant Name) Recommendation Letter" should be sent to this email address.
